The Fall and Rise of Boba Fett

 R.I.P  Bobe! -

and R.I.P Vades who visited my school as The Green Cross Code when I was about 4  just as Star Wars was coming out.strange days Mull of Kintyre  was at number 1 forever...With last nights news it gave the sneaky end credits piece extra pathos -I won't go into spoilers but you'll know what I mean if you see it- for a lifetime Fett Fan it was the perfect helmet nod to Jeremy .

Not got around to Cyberpunk 2077 just yet more like Gutterpunk 1966 - trying to make Fallout 4 into a Secret Agent  based World War 2 and a half  alternate future distopian daymare - here my Steed and Cathy Gale -a few more obscure Avengers in the next screengrab

Emma Peel mk 1 and Venus Smith - a nice way to connect Bond with other worlds seeiing as WW2 never ended in my story  I made a Major Eazy , a Yakob  , a Johnny Red (although needs some work-no scousers in the game) and a Joe Darkie names that may mean nothing to most people but I grew up reading these characters in Battle Picture Weekly so these dudes have always been around -Rebellion should somehow incorparate them into next Sniper Elite.

McCready works really well as  a Major Eazy hope I get to upload the clips not that anybody except music copyright drones are watching -just cool to create although it's a drag trying to find Nazi uniforms for BOS and other bad guys -wouldn't mind some Japanese uniforms in game too.

A few random clips from my latest epic "From Boston With Love" Messing around with Arnie. Stepping out of the Road Leathers for a change but I still don't Impress the teapot -I wish there was mod to replace these with humanoids like the one I use for Codsworth -I might make a Bob Hoskins for Whitechapel Charlie for example. As far as dystopias go this one will do now till bugs are ironed out and I get a heftier PC hope Cyberpunk 2077 team can sort out there problems bit skint around Christmas other people come first but may buy it in January as a gift for lasting through this dumbass year , thats the plan. Massive news on Star Wars front -so much to look forward to still wanted "Cloud City Blues" maybe Repulic Rangers may be along that line or Blue Heelers in space -lots of helmet nods to Jeremey and Tem in my my next HypTV Playlist Looking forward to this I reckon this will be very different in tone to the Mandalorian -would like it to be George Smiley or Day of the Jackel in Space- but we'll it would cool a have nice slice of intrigue - I wonder what the Mguffin of show is? -will it be The Death Star again? or perhaps a assination attempt on Palpatine (or one of his Clones)-could be anything .. hopefully we'll find out next year. Can't see them staying Bad for long an excellent way to depict the Dawn of the Empire look forward to checking this out too. A sad day indeed - but celluloid (anti )heroes never day.

Boba & Bo

So is Boba back or not? -The thought occurred to me that Boba has more than one set of Beskar -The Holiday Special armour although maybe the green paint job is a re-colouring -in my mind he has three armors the McQuarrie Supertrooper with Clint Eastwoodian  poncho

you see above and the most famous one you see him wearing in the movies -    The Holiday Special armour also appeared in Droids Cartoon-would be neat to see this or the white armor been put to use.

What also puzzles me is what's happened to Slave 1?  is it still in Fett's possession is parked in Jabba's Palace Garage  or Mos Eisley or another Spaceport -something tells me he's suffering from amenisia just like 1984 marvel comic  "Jawas or Doom "except more long term -

If rumours are to be believed Bobby's  getting his own mini series on Disney +  it would make more sense  if we explore his escape from Sarlacc in his own series - after Solo undeservedly bombed plans for a Fett movie  were cancelled but I don't think  it's been selved altogether -certainly it's a story I'd like to see

I reckon Baba Yada  knew excatly which egg had life  and wanted to eat the rest-every time I see The Child I think of my Godsons Son -not that he has big ears or anything -hopefully I'll get to meet next month -he really loves Johnny Panda and there's Johnny Bear too

Almost halway through the season-not sure we'll see Ashoka in the next episode -reading IMDB looks like Action Jackson  is set to direct the fourth episode which makes me think Din will be heading back to  Nevarro -the Razorcrests in a bad way so he'll probably see his old friends first  before heading for The forrest planet of  Corvus -which is also the name of Iden Versio's ship  (the heroine of Battlefront 2's campaign)maybe Moff Gideon will also sidetrack The Mandalorians quest.- re-enter Bo Katan to get back the Darksaber -Moff really needs a helmet maybe one like Agent Callus but in black (I wonder if he's named after another villian George Osborne  who's real name is Gideon lol)

Very impressed with the live action  Bo Katan and the Nite Owls (is there name a nod to female WW2 Russian Pilots or Dan from The Watchmen(I still can't bring myself to watch TV show -Alan's a bit of a God  so don't wan't to bum him out  I liked the game a few years back-but reckon I'd of rather seen a  Terry Gillian version of the movie ) or maybe  it's a doo wop thang

Supercommando awesome to see those guys kicking Squidhead and Stormtrooper ass -We'll get to see Sabine too hopefully soon -I hope she's sorted her hair out  not a fan of her post Jedi look

Not my favourite clan The Death Watch -more of a Merreels Maurders type of guy meaning Jaster Merreel

or Mandalorian Protector's as that's where Boba's original origin story from 1982 which I coloured a few years back - but it's awesome she bought all the clans together -she can do it again with Din and The Childs help I reckon but it's going to be a bumpy ride. Guess Bo's about my age if she was about 20 at the start of The Clone Wars she's aged well guess rocking a buckets good for the skin. Season 2's top stuff  so far -looking forward to next Friday already- most humonoids with an interest for The Mandalorian  would of seen this already-but it's very smart & funny have to give it another listen - I'm sure fist time I  saw this in colour though.- then again the original GNR video was in black n white - was mashed when  first  saw it  though.

November V

Despite lockdown I can hear fireworks outside -bummer!-historically I would of sided with Guy -I have plans for the House of Parliament in my comic story -and politicians too (lets just say they'll be the new refugees) Episode from 1963 Supermac years- I'd vote for Cathy Everytime!

The Avengers in reverse -never watched it like this before -perfect TV get through a missle crisis whilst your eating your Rice Crispies-much better on DVD but it's here and relevant to post.

Such I great show I'm recreating my own-although everyone apart from Codsworth, Anne Hargreaves and The Bibrov Brothers have American accents -still its fun to re-create Cold War eastern block in Diamond City -This ones in colour-but the rest of this story will be in glorius monotone to get that season 4 vibe, Fridays are like 70's Happy Days at O'Hagan Manor simply because The Mandalorian is back as is Thee Bobster-Kinda knew about Cobb Vanth surprising choice of Under Armour -but you can tell he's no Shocktrooper from the same Manor as Anakin -possibly around the same age-but Iliked him -kinda James Garneresque-hope to see more of his character

What next? I mean classic Kung Fu type ending with Twin Suns Sarlacc stole Bobbies eyebrows -I hope he 's more Caine like these days -not sure he's bothered about Cobb for some reason -it's been five or six years since he got out of the Pit of Carkoon - seems to be in no rush to get his clobber back it seems . Been such a sad week - my friends Father died about that-wish there was something I could do but everythings offically in lockdown (don't stop these fireworkers -one day I'll go Dragons Den with a Stealth Firework )Dunno whats to celebrate buncha it's SuperShite  right now  shouldn't be ruled by old fools. by Fools there's nowt worse than driving a dog crazy just coz you love been ruled by fools kinda broken up no lie!

. On the positive side though my Great Nephew has returned from Russia with his Mum and I'm over the moon that my Godson finally gets to see his son-I bought him a Panda(very soft) and for the second time I have a soft two named after me (Johnny Bear 1993 and now Johnny Panda 2020) so I'm most honoured Round of with some Stella Street -sad to here about John -one of the best as this and every episode testifys

Sock it to Me SC !

A Post dedicated to Sean Connery I guess the first actor along with John Wayne that I idolised as wee kid -always excited when there was a Bond film on pre school so I was well aware of JB from mid 70's onwards -I think I wanted to be a Ninja after seeing "You Only Live Twice" I'd recreate the battle inside the hollowed out Volcano with clothes pegs (one side Red the other Yellow -who needs action figures ) also had the Corgi Aston Martin with ejector seat -ahh the days just before Star Wars and Superman -may seem distant but it all came back to me watching all these tributes to Sean - funny how I was only listening to this and watching the golf scene from Goldfinger the other day Here's a few scenes   from the Longest Day which I loved (where he's playing a Irish Man for some reason Private Flanagan- mind you his roots lay in County Wexford (same as me Mum) From what I've read Sean was a boy sailor just after  the war from the age of 16-19 he had a very eventful life before he hit the big time and came from humble beginnings living in a one room house with his Mum and Dad

"Red Wine with Fish?"

Connery revisted "From Russia with Love " although Red Grant didn't go down so easilly in that game If this is on PC or PS4 I'd love to revisit this world and take out baddies in that Aston Martin.

Big fan of Little Nellie too The other JB John Barry

Remember seeing this back when Ch4 would put a movie on in the afternoon -used to think Stanley Baker was Connery -first time I saw Guns of the Navaronne thought Stan was Sean

everybodies in this.. even Sid James. A few of Seans Later Roles now Starting with Brian DePalma's The Untouchables hey that's Toad from American Graffiti- Henry Jones Sr Funny thing is theres only twelve years age diffence between Harrison & Sean.

Mr Kipling Makes exceedly good cakes

The Greatest Bond for sure but I love Roger and Daniel too glad he likes "Geordies" version of Bond- hope we get to see the next installment soon Been a bad year for Fictional Superspies (Emma, Cathy and now James ) Hopefully tommorow the diabolical criminal disastermind will be ousted but after last time I'm not reserving much hope -just pray North Americans will surprise me.

Hyp TV 97

Mainly music this playlist with the odd interval from these Muppets -good to see Spitting Image back and taking no prisoners =may as well be 1986 but I'd rather live in 1966 (or at least my imaginary cool version of that year) Things been a bit downbeat lately -trying to cheer myself up as always -been a bit difficult for most real people since the world went all wonky -at least i'm working with Bogart and Nicolas Cage now it seems-details about that in next post.

"Reasons to Be Cheerful"-Part 6

Lately been trying to find pics of Joe Dredd cracking a grin for these posts  - but found this  wonderful Brendan McCarthy  image instead.

I guess he's still hooked on Psycho Candy( see 1988 Judge Dredd Annual)-

"I Needed That!" To Quote the Boriseque Karloff Groovie Goolie -

"It's Rough And Tough In this Ghetto lotta funny stuff goin' down but ya gotta walk tall walk tall!" aint no wookie kind of short arse  but those words mean alot to me right now!

Lots of things keeping me unbored but sadly have no time to do them as life has become a constant struggle to keep my Mum at her best - but its hard with her losing the ability to walk but I will help her get back on her feet it's all i'm here for -I remember where I actually come from- its only right to keep her asail - have been colouring but more gaming lately with all these new releases and whatnot starting with Star Wars Squadrons- about 3rd of forth mission in good to see Wedge again (with the proper voice too Big Respect Dennis Lawson) Is it a Good Game? Well I'd like to walk around the hanger - feels like my flight boots are nailed down - but it aint that type of game I guess - Joesph here is always good at reviewing these things so I'll leave it to him along with

Fallen Order a Knights Quest really digging that but I got this Lousy Fat Bat in the Way and no doubt they'll F**ing Puzzles too - but yes at last EA are listening to Fans - keep this up - I hope something is in works that will merge together all these abandonded projects like Ragtag and 1313 and turn out some magic - I'm hoping Cyberpunk 2077 will set a new standard for future games - not long now .

Squadrons  is good so far -bought  dvd boxset of old ITV show at Battle Britain Museum -Piece of Cake  on the same day-how did I miss this one? - great aerial footage  -and  a good way to remember the dudes who saved us from the worst kind of tyranny although this clips more about barnstorming

Been walking in the shoes of Karl Fairburne again-I hope he crosses pathes with a animated version of Rat Pack, The Sarge and his Platoon , and Major Eazy in Sniper Elite 5 -Would benefit from having good allies - my guess is next story takes place with invasion of Normandy -V2 Remastered a blast Loved the North Africa and Italia games - I need to dig out Zombie Army Trilogy too - more Weird War or Fiends on the Eastern Front than usual fair with Karl but a great game for halloween

I shot Hitler through the foot- guess he had a heart attack after lol- Been Shooting lots of Virtual Nazis lately finally started playing my Godson's Birthday present Wolfenstein The New Order - not sure Germany was quite ready to make Zoid like Dogs but you're not meant to take this stuff seriously although when I went about doing an alternate history (which I may come back to -although if things continue in the far right arseholes favour I may not need too)I went for historical accuracy though things taking a different route but would the Nazis be that ahead with technology?  kind of paying them a compliment almost if you weren't executing every last one of them (maybe they'd have really advanced aircraft by the 50's but giant robots nah!  -Karl Beats Bill in that respect but Wolfensteins always fun none the less - I also have the Old Blood game and once I've completed that I'd like to see how the rest of Sixties transpired and whats happening in the 80's in the latest game  Youngblood Trying to keep litarate too I've enjoying Rico Dredd's novella (the 1st one)

and theres plenty more of pre Dredd history to explore in The Judges series- kind of important in the light of things happening in North America right now - it's a slippery slope -hope some critical changes can be made come November - but we can't count on that 2020's been a Mega Douche and that aint no lie! Lawless the Musical?-  + John Higgins &  Micheel Carroll  talking about new story Dreadnoughts  which explores the early years of the Justice Department

Dreadnoughts Episode Two soon :) - Star Wars has the Old Republic and The Clone Wars  I suspose  Dreddverse has Judges is books & comics  would cover from 2030 till 2072  - would make a good basis for a  tv show or a computer game as would Orlok (was thinking  that  Playing Sniper Elite v2 ) If there were to be Dredd Game should start with Goodman and Morton Judd discussing Rico and Joes embryos" and finnish with Dredd sending  Judge Whitey to Devils Island so it would take place in a thirty year time span- (could that be done in a game? -I reckon it could if each segment of game was broken into chapters)  I pray for a open World Dredd or Strontium Dog game every night lol

A  bit more Info  about the  Judges books - look forward to reading Lone Wolf next

Cheerful-I dunno always a work in process Jolity lol

Colouring Project -Anderson and The Four Dark Judges -Post 5

Red Sky at night Psi Judge in a fight -Original art by Brian Bolland -Anderson and The Dark Judges Daddy !-The nice thing about this image is I can do another spooky sky version too (maybe around  Halloween)The  Cover for a Eagle Judge Dredd  comic book in the 1980s I found a  scan of the original and decided to colour it -also saw a Spinball War drawn by Brian -a story I didn't read in Battle Action at the time (more into Charley Sarge Johnny Red at the time- but its set in 2001 lol  -but if they're now writing the 2030-2070's Judges - would make a cool Judge Fargo crossover -

Two episodes re-coloured and Brett Ewins final work on strip untill The Possessed (which I hope to colour as well)

Another Legend to colour next-Cliff Robinson -looking forward to that

Anderson mentions the Titan Trip currently reading Judge Dredd Year Two-The Righteous Man-which deals with the events  directly after Joe arrests his brother Rico -and theres a character called Red (I wonder if it's the very same Red at the start  of The Cursed Earth -or a nod to Red Hugh  )
 Updated
Just finished the story and yep it is the very same Red (I may be a total total nerd to remember this character    - but Je didn't really have many friends let alone a civilian so that was nicely done in the novel)Looking forward to Year 3 Fallen Angel- year Six should be interesting as thats when War Between Mega City One and Texas City  kicks off -that's another piece of Mega History I'd like to see depicted.

First Grud!

Had a go at Carlos Ezquerra's first Judge Dredd story -"The Bank Job"- not sure it's ever been coloured before not even in the Old Eagle Comic reprints of the 1980's except the last page with the landscape I actually copied that page as close to as the original that appeared as a poster back in 1977

The very first Dredd didn't actually surface till  1980  in the 1981 Annual - between then Carlos didn't  really draw strip  till  The Apocalypse War although he did draw an episode  about a robot King Kong and one episode of  the First Robot Wars (The First printed Dredd Epic)  but he wasn't too happy about his character  been handed over to other artists  whilst this story never saw the light of day - I'd say it's because Dredd's  too ruthless  more of a problem with the script Dredds world really hadn't been developed - there had to be some rationality - you can't identify with  someone who shoots people for dropping litter  would get boring after a while - so not so much Carlos at fault it's just the mad laws

- interesting to see that Dredd dosen't have Dredd on his badge but Judge instead - early story covers would be coloured and  have a silver badge , a gun holster  which was seperate from boot and yellow belt - I have my own colour schemes for Judges (never keen on blue uniform- I'm sure Carlos intended it to be black  leather or material similar - dunno who started colouring him blue .But Blacks more menacing and  punk  rock. Dredd's seriously out of line here executing perps just  willy nilly  - you'd think he's gone rogue  having read stories prior to this  - would this be considered Dredd canon? - also working alongside the Police  is an odd thing too  (gotta love Carlos  future cop  car  in second to last panel ) Police may controlled Manhatten at that time in 2099 maybe Dredds been sent
in to control situation and route out currupt police system in order for Judges to take power away - would like Dredd to to take the lot of them down  and he's cool enough to do it  mind from what I remember many of the original police where destroyed durring the Robot Wars (a good writer could weave this into a The Pit like epic - where this  first story could be just one incident  of a big story)  -I'll get back to my Anderson pages soon - they need sorting as well as a picture I'm  doing for a mate (may go back to my own story after that if I can get my confidence back)

I said here  before that Carlos is bit like our Jack Kirby although art styles are completly different and subject matter but the output and creativity are in the same league so he should be heralded in the same way
Interview with Carlos accents spanish but the nice thing about youtube is you can rewind and catch what he says - his art is truly missed but it's great theres so much of it
Interview with Chief Judge Dredd writer John Wagner - I think it's from a few years back and originally was in two parts but John along with Pat Mills and Alan Grant are Joe's Daddies- worth hearing as John rarely does interviews I've been looking forward to Dreadnoughts in The Megazine like the Judges Novels it will explore the early days of The Justice Dept illustrated by John Higgins and  written by  one of my fave Dredd writers  Micheal  Carroll - hopefuly we'll get to see the Father of Justice himself Fargo -  here's a link  featuring a  interview with both writer and artist about the story

HypTV 94

I'm getting through playlists like Chedder Chesse Biscuits - really knocking the ball out of the park with colouring- been colouring the very first Judge Dredd story -wanted to revisit Joe's birth on the page I just can't wait to post that -but I gotta get it right - also been colouring some Quaser Bikes(seen above) - drawn by Brett Ewins in a old Judge Anderson story - Mick McMahon who drew the image above seemed to take umbridge as it's similar in compostion and stance but I dunno I think it's a respectful homage to the original - I can only feel love for the original -The Best 2000ad cover ? or maybe that's Prog 95 -Cursed Earth would make a good spin off to Mega City One show - just hope that gets off the ground -covid better bugger off soonish Another Noisy Groovy & Rightous playlist featuring a interview with Mick (but much of it's Polish translating but one of the greats deserves much respect checking out the first  couple of A.B.C Warriors stories lately and it bought it all back  Mongrel & Lara it's so sweet...
Very 70'S in parts this playlist maybe all this Covid Shite has made me nostalgic for 4 day week winter of discontent times when I was 3 lol -simpler times meaning dafter - I hope November spawns an Angel for a change.

Anderson Psi Division & The Sarge colouring project WIP

These are no way the finished pieces-just that I don't trust my machine at the moment it may be on last legs keeps conking out and it has about four fans - it's like if I do anything cool in a game or colour page really well it blows it's little brain cells  out before I can save it- I think it's only best I post these and tweak them later -also included is my recent colouring of a story I first saw in 1977 The Sarge -but more about that later...

Omar used to rock a turban -I wonder what happened there. .. great Judge Death site..http://judgedeath.co.uk/
Have to finish colouring this story one day feel obliged to colour it's conclussion Just to see Death get his just dues  , but that won't be for a while I guess.

Some classic Mike Western & Gerry Day-now in colour.

Humphrey Bogart the Blackshirt....
Hopefully all the Mike and Jim Watson Sarge's will be collected into a book sometime - although I'd do new lettering as it takes away from art sometimes the machine text-Footsloggers won World War 2 not polictical leaders  that's why I liked the Sarge a bit like Tony Benn with a Lee Enfield but I imagine Jims based on Mike  as he liked his pipe -found this wonderful pdf the other week - which gives the lowdown on Battle Picture Weekly.
https://efanzines.com/JourneyPlanet/
Like I say not fnnished yet so won't appear on flickr or fb just yet -  but would be nice to have a go at a Johnny Red episode someday -
Me and my sister Zippys bf at Hawkinge Battle of Britain museum  which were fought over my local skies -I never forget what for. Heartbreaking the stories of young un's who took on the Luftwaffen and won but so young these lads ... lifes  been mellow and hectic -No sleep till Heaven .
