HypTV 94

I'm getting through playlists like Chedder Chesse Biscuits - really knocking the ball out of the park with colouring- been colouring the very first Judge Dredd story -wanted to revisit Joe's birth on the page I just can't wait to post that -but I gotta get it right - also been colouring some Quaser Bikes(seen above) - drawn by Brett Ewins in a old Judge Anderson story - Mick McMahon who drew the image above seemed to take umbridge as it's similar in compostion and stance but I dunno I think it's a respectful homage to the original - I can only feel love for the original -The Best 2000ad cover ? or maybe that's Prog 95 -Cursed Earth would make a good spin off to Mega City One show - just hope that gets off the ground -covid better bugger off soonish Another Noisy Groovy & Rightous playlist featuring a interview with Mick (but much of it's Polish translating but one of the greats deserves much respect checking out the first  couple of A.B.C Warriors stories lately and it bought it all back  Mongrel & Lara it's so sweet...
Very 70'S in parts this playlist maybe all this Covid Shite has made me nostalgic for 4 day week winter of discontent times when I was 3 lol -simpler times meaning dafter - I hope November spawns an Angel for a change.

Anderson Psi Division & The Sarge colouring project WIP

These are no way the finished pieces-just that I don't trust my machine at the moment it may be on last legs keeps conking out and it has about four fans - it's like if I do anything cool in a game or colour page really well it blows it's little brain cells  out before I can save it- I think it's only best I post these and tweak them later -also included is my recent colouring of a story I first saw in 1977 The Sarge -but more about that later...

Omar used to rock a turban -I wonder what happened there. .. great Judge Death site..http://judgedeath.co.uk/
Have to finish colouring this story one day feel obliged to colour it's conclussion Just to see Death get his just dues  , but that won't be for a while I guess.

Some classic Mike Western & Gerry Day-now in colour.

Humphrey Bogart the Blackshirt....
Hopefully all the Mike and Jim Watson Sarge's will be collected into a book sometime - although I'd do new lettering as it takes away from art sometimes the machine text-Footsloggers won World War 2 not polictical leaders  that's why I liked the Sarge a bit like Tony Benn with a Lee Enfield but I imagine Jims based on Mike  as he liked his pipe -found this wonderful pdf the other week - which gives the lowdown on Battle Picture Weekly.
https://efanzines.com/JourneyPlanet/
Like I say not fnnished yet so won't appear on flickr or fb just yet -  but would be nice to have a go at a Johnny Red episode someday -
Me and my sister Zippys bf at Hawkinge Battle of Britain museum  which were fought over my local skies -I never forget what for. Heartbreaking the stories of young un's who took on the Luftwaffen and won but so young these lads ... lifes  been mellow and hectic -No sleep till Heaven .

"Whack for my Daddio"

Work for my Daddio that's what I heard!
Remembering my Dad tonight 30 years now It's all a blink of a eye to me, so a 1990 selection thing -stange year half a man half a boy thing guess it stayed that way -at least in my heart. 30 years is a blink of the eye - hope I can stop checking the rear view mirror now and focus on the road ahead 30 years almost to the day this happened So wot was 1990 like according to media type people in 1977? The main event in my life at 17 of course was Necropolis up until what hapened with Dad -when the Megazine came along I felt it was no big deal (but of course it was) bit numb then -only wished John Wagner stayed editor Mad Marshal Law get up :) respect!
From  "I Love 1990"  I Don't- but Laura Palmers alrite! Good that I got to watch Twin Peaks as it came out with me old man - he also bore witness to Nick back then -deep down I reckon he liked The Seeds & Doors  we'd watch foreign movies together and snooker lots of feckin snooker oh and Airwolf too lol
I love Nick and my mate David too I lent him The Ass Saw the Angel , he came back to me a few weeks later and said that's the best book he's ever read (and Davids kinda well read) so I'm glad I lent to him  that paperback and he got into Nicks music  at the same time.
GOOEY TYMES  love Nick & Thurston  -both had  a similiar  problem as me. Course 1990 was a very Baggy time loved the Roses and Mondays goes wthout saying but it was The High too 4me .Loved that album
But I'll end with the crown prince a very good year for the The Fall It'll be neat not to see through the eyes of rage - theres times where I feel life hasn't began - I think that's a good thing - you can sling all your Covids and World Wars my way but I won't bum out  ol John - been through the worst so I'll stay strong -way2be - keepin'  it real Delbert Wilkins style  Dad was down with PE - he'd of liked this one,#

Young Joe -A quick one I did last week-Art Carlos Ezquerra ( I'm going strictly by 1977 colours here hence yellow belt) I've also been colouring more Anderson & The Sarge (I can't wait to post them should be ready in a few days) At least since  my mate died I wanted to go back into some kind of art -my eyesights not so hot these days thankfully got an eyetest tommorow but I dread the results.

Stuff that's kept me going for last couple of weeks...

Found this the other day drawing I did back in 83 - one day I'll do a decent scan. My first Boba -I think I scribbled my sisters Leia out -kids eh? now all I wanna do is draw chicks lol
this one I especially remember doing I'd copy the backs of Star Wars figures not sure is this Revenge era of Return era Jedi somewhere inbetween -so I knew very little about Nien Nunb or Royal Guard as film hadn't come out -but coolest Lando ever
